Greetings! My research examines how religious beliefs and cultural identities shape attitudes toward the climate and climate change, primarily in the United States. Building on theory and methodologies from religious studies, my teaching and scholarship use the tools of both the humanities and social sciences to interpret human-environmental interactions.

I am an Associate Professor of Religious Studies at Texas A&M University, and an Associate Editor for the Journal for the Study of Religion, Nature and Culture.

My first monograph is The Gospel of Climate Skepticism: Why Evangelical Christians Oppose Action on Climate Change (UC Press, 2019).
